Here and There is Now Shipping

I am thrilled that my first official book, Here and There, is now in stock and shipping. I am so happy with how this book turned out. It was exciting the moment the package arrived, and I finally saw this in physical form. The beautiful, glossy cover, the crispness of a brand-new book, and looking at each photo and how fantastic everything looks with this book overall.

As a photographer, I’ve always tried to photograph my experiences. Over a decade, I’ve been able to travel to many locations, and I’m very grateful for those adventures. After years of photographing, editing, and sharing countless images, I realized these photographs weren't just pictures. Collectively, they were a story of transformation and appreciation during that time. That’s when the idea of creating a book began to take shape.

The decision to publish a travel photography book was personal. Photography is more than just an art—it’s a way of experiencing and understanding the world. These photos are my impression of that moment in time, what I experienced firsthand. When I assembled the images for this book and discovered which worked best together, I realized that the photos I had captured over the years formed a narrative of how my perspective on travel had evolved. This narrative transformed me as an individual.

I’ve had drafts and ideas for this book for some time, but I felt I wasn’t quite where I wanted to be. That changed when I returned from Italy in September 2024. Those memories and photographs are what I needed for me to feel this was complete and had come to a conclusion. It is what I needed to feel confident about this collection. Here and There is an opportunity to reflect on that journey and share it in a tangible form.

Sharing My Experiences

Travel photography is a potent medium. It’s a way of showing the world from different perspectives, offering glimpses into cultures and places that people may never have the chance to experience firsthand. I’ve travelled often, but there is still much more to see. Saying that the photos within Here and There have meaning is obvious; however, I realize these are my experiences. You will not have the same connection that I have with these images. But in a way, I hope you can look at these images and connect in some way. Maybe it is a trip you plan to make, or perhaps it assists in reminiscing about some memory. Maybe you have been to these places or been in that very spot.

With digital photography so easily accessible, I wanted to offer something more tangible and definitive of that period. A printed book is a timeless experience that has not faded. I enjoy sitting down to turn a page, feel the paper, and hold it in my hand, and I hope you do, too.

Photography is about preserving memories and communicating ideas or emotions through visual storytelling. We take photos for many reasons, including creative expression, capturing and reliving memories, self-discovery, and connection. For me, this book is an accumulation of the effort put into capturing the images, the time spent editing them, the miles travelled to capture that perfect shot, and the experiences that made every moment worthwhile.

Conclusion

I’m excited that Here and There has finally become a reality. It’s more than just a book of images; it’s a narrative about how travel has influenced my life and view of the world. I hope you'll find a connection as you flip through its pages. Thank you to all who pre-ordered the book. It means a lot to me that you would consider spending your hard-earned money on this book of my adventures. I appreciate your support with this personal project.

Wander often, wonder always.
